Mostly Harmless
Come see my paintings
Oil paint is mostly harmless. I mean, what’s a little cadmium between friends? Art, however, can be dangerous.
I’m pretty sure it’s safe to come to my first gallery show, though.
Mostly Harmless — Opening Reception!
6pm, Friday, August 29th
Tom Stevens Gallery
126 W. King St.
Hillsborough, NC
You’ve seen some of these pieces online, but that’s not really experiencing them. Paintings have dimension. They have a smell. It’s not just an image; it’s a bit of a sculpture. Every painting has physical energy. I spent months on them. There are earths, oils, and minerals from all over the world on the canvas.
I have three pieces in the show. I’ll be there on Friday night to hobnob with my pinky outstretched. I want it to be a successful show for Tom, but otherwise, I don’t care if I sell paintings. I just want to see you there. I want people to see people and be in the room with the art.
It’s mostly harmless.
The paintings will be up through September 26th. Your fan,
Jonathan Byrd

I love your show title. I am utterly obsessed with Douglas Adams. (Also, the paintings are 🔥)
Bravo Jonathan! Congratulations I agree w your assessment that art is alive. Each piece of work has a life✨
