Actually wrote this poem today (very related feeling):

Thinking Inside The Box

We all live in boxes

Sitting on shelves

We all speak in boxes

With only ourselves

We do what we're told

Never what we're asked

When we ask for help

We're wearing a mask

If I could live better

If I could live free

The only success I would want

Is to be happy

with my friends and family

If you could change society

Or at least the community around

You could make a difference

Small yet profound

It only takes one drop

To make a ripple in the crowd

If we all join in

Then our voice will be loud

Singing together

Working as a team

For a better future

Living our dreams

Together be happy

Each other sublime

Live your dreams!

One day at a time

I don’t wish I lived in the USA, but I do wish I could join you at this gig. It will be wonderful.

We miss you in GVL, SC ^_^ but glad you're doing a local one. I'm nostalgic today too & I miss the old shows. "There will always be a small time" ;)

The good news: you're doing a concert... Hooray! The bad news: we can't get there... ;-(. Perhaps you might employ the Laws of Physics to get to the Asheville area in October (a clear case of wishful thinking)? Anyway, here's to ongoing success in the next step toward that degree. BRAVO! -- Dave

This is wonderful, Jonathan. I wish we could all do something like this. Everything you say in your post is so true. Sending love.

Word of mouth...a concept that seems to have lost all meaning now that it's been usurped. Totally love this idea and the more I read, the more excited I felt to see the show and be part of this secret...until I realized I will be out of town that night. Well shit. Next time.

The photograph introducing this post is very Norman Rockwell-ish. Is that what you were going for? 😄
