Also in the canon ecosystem. My favorite lens has become the RF 100-400 because as an ICM photography, wider lenses make it hard to limit unwanted things in nature-oriented images. It can be too tight at times but works in 90+% of my situations.
When I venture into NYC, I use an R100 (lightweight and small) with a 24mm or 50mm because all of potential extraneous stuff in the periphery of the wider angle is part of "being in the city."

I think writers tend to more often forget to "use what you have." All I need is something made of paper and a pen or pencil of any kind. I've written poems on grocery receipts.
